WedMeGood, one of India's largest wedding planning platforms, connects vendors with couples, offering targeted marketing and lead generation opportunities

With more than 60% of their revenue being generated by vendor fees on the WedMeGood for Business mobile apps, and the evolving needs of wedding vendors and businesses, WedMeGood embarked on a transformative journey to enhance its business platform.

The existing platform launched in 2018 was outdated and lacked intuitive features, resulting in user dissatisfaction and limited engagement

With the growing demand for digital solutions in the wedding planning industry, there was a significant opportunity to revamp the platforms to meet the evolving needs of vendors and improve overall business performance

The Opportunity

Launch an updated version of the vendor app with improved usability, while building a community for increased user engagement

The community will enable vendors to browse other vendors, find inspiration and tag other vendors in their projects encouraging interaction and collaboration, ultimately increasing user engagement with the app.

The Approach

I conducted a thorough audit of the app's UI/UX, analyzed competitor benchmarks, and reviewed user feedback from app stores to inform the redesign process, making the app intuitive, functional and easy to navigate.

The Focus Areas

To meet users' needs across different stages of the investment journey, I devised a strategic framework grounded in empathy and data-driven insights.

Navigation and Profile Management

Difficulties with app navigation, indicating a need for information clarity. Vendors need robust profile management tools for easy updates to portfolio images, service listings, and contact information.

Lead Management

Vendors face challenges in efficiently managing leads, including unclear lead details and ineffective lead tracking. Desired features include lead categorization, follow-up reminders, and lead conversion analytics.

Desire for Personalization

Users expressed a desire for personalized recommendations tailored to their preferences, indicating an opportunity to enhance user engagement through customized content.

Minimal and Simple Interface

Users expressed mixed feelings about the app's aesthetics, with requests for a modern, visually appealing interface featuring clean layouts, intuitive icons, and cohesive branding elements.
